Associate Involvement (AI) and You
SGS encourages associate participation through Associate Involvement. The AI team focuses on events that get all of us involved!
Educational and Training Programs
SGS will provide full time associates reimbursement for educational courses directly related to their current job classification or an organizational career path agreed upon by their coaches.
State Certified Apprentice Program
SGS sponsors qualified associates in an apprenticeship program at Stark State College! SGS pays for tuition, loans books for classes and pays for completion certificates.
Associate Suggestions
Associates, who submit suggestions, receive a gift card or movie tickets for submitting a suggestion, then may receive a cash prize for the suggestion of the quarter and yet another cash prize for the suggestion of the year!
Kaizen Events
Associates have the opportunity to participate in reviewing current programs or processes to make improvements. SGS strives for continual improvement in all areas of the company.
Associate Get Together and Outing
SGS Associate Involvement offers family get-togethers where associates and friends may take part of the event. There are many fun fill event scheduled through associate involvement!
Community Family Fun Day
SGS offers a Family Fun Day filled with games, parades and rides to support Making Strides for Breast Cancer. SGS associates raised over $70,000 to support the fight against breast cancer.
Associate Recognition Banquet
Each Year SGS recognizes associates who have more than five (5) years of service! Approximately 200 associates and guests are in attendance at the banquet each year!
A Scanlon Member
Each year selected associates are offered an opportunity to learn more about Scanlon and Best Practices during the annual conference. This year the conference was held in Detroit, Michigan.
